Bec Matheson
Hello, I'm Bec; I have been a working photographer for over 10 years, and I love what I do!
I discovered birth photography quite by accident the week before my first daughter was born (when I promptly hired a birth photographer) and have been hooked ever since. I now have three daughters (all whose births have been photographed) and have been privileged to document many myself. I love birth for the storytelling gift that it is. I value respectful connection with birth teams - including partners - and love the challenge of documenting in the birth space where there is little control over light and position.

Jana Woodhouse
Hi, I’m Jana and I think that birth is amazing.
Birth is beautiful and empowering; one of the most incredible things that we as humans do is to create life. Even before having my own children, birth was something that totally inspired me and left me in awe. After the arrival of my first baby (a moment that was one of my life’s best), I knew I wanted to focus on capturing that precious moment of a woman meeting her child for the first time.
As your birth photographer, I consider it a huge honor to be invited into your sacred and intimate birthing space. I am well versed in the birth process and respect the people who are caring for the birthing mother. I work unobtrusively and candidly, capturing moments as they unfold in a way that visually documents a birth story for a mother to relive, process and cherish.

Nicholas Walton-Healey
My name is Nicholas Walton-Healey; I’m a commercial, artistic and documentary photographer with an extensive and diverse range of skills and experiences. Having worked in many environments requiring respectful and sensitive forms of engagement, I found myself drawn to the particular intimacy and challenges of birth photography. The responsibility of recording the first moments of every new life brings incredible privilege. Aged in my late thirties, I value the uniqueness of each family and individual, my approach being informed by my mature professional background and caring heart.

Emma Stapleton
Hi, I'm Emma. Birth photography is my passion.
I've been around birth for most of my life, with many midwives in my family. Hearing my Mum's stories about birth persuaded me to become creatively involved in the beautiful and natural event of birth. I have fallen completely in love with photographing moments that simply can’t be recreated, such as the first time you meet your littlest love. I understand that my strength lies in empowering women and supporting them through their birth process, documenting their journey in all its unique beauty.
