Bec Matheson
Hello, I'm Bec; I have been a working photographer for over 10 years, and I love what I do!
I discovered birth photography quite by accident the week before my first daughter was born (when I promptly hired a birth photographer) and have been hooked ever since. I now have three daughters (all whose births have been photographed) and have been privileged to document many myself. I love birth for the storytelling gift that it is. I value respectful connection with birth teams - including partners - and love the challenge of documenting in the birth space where there is little control over light and position.

Jana Woodhouse
Hi, I’m Jana and I think that birth is amazing.
Birth is beautiful and empowering; one of the most incredible things that we as humans do is to create life. Even before having my own children, birth was something that totally inspired me and left me in awe. After the arrival of my first baby (a moment that was one of my life’s best), I knew I wanted to focus on capturing that precious moment of a woman meeting her child for the first time.
As your birth photographer, I consider it a huge honor to be invited into your sacred and intimate birthing space. I am well versed in the birth process and respect the people who are caring for the birthing mother. I work unobtrusively and candidly, capturing moments as they unfold in a way that visually documents a birth story for a mother to relive, process and cherish.

Chelsea Jade
I’m Chelsea Jade: a 30-year-old lifestyle photographer originally from New Zealand, living my best life in the inner city suburbs of Melbourne.
If I had to describe my photography style it would be creative, intuitive and passionate. From working as an early childcare and kinder photographer I re-discovered the world through a lens of innocence, appreciating the everyday magic that we as adults can sometimes miss. Moving into birth photography was a natural next step and one that I have treasured taking so far. My photography is definitely not a “1,2,3 smile!” approach, but an entry into all sessions as a “fly on the wall”, finding the best ways to capture your sacred passage into motherhood. My role is to help you immortalize this journey so that you can cherish it for years to come. I endeavor to tell your story without words, finding the waves of pure, authentic emotion wherever they may lie.

Emma Stapleton
Hi, I'm Emma. Birth photography is my passion.
I've been around birth for most of my life, with many midwives in my family. Hearing my Mum's stories about birth persuaded me to become creatively involved in the beautiful and natural event of birth. I have fallen completely in love with photographing moments that simply can’t be recreated, such as the first time you meet your littlest love. I understand that my strength lies in empowering women and supporting them through their birth process, documenting their journey in all its unique beauty.
